I’m an educator who retired as a reading specialist and writing coach. I appreciate the power of well-crafted children’s picture books and well-written junior fiction. I learned much about developmental editing from conducting writing workshops for students.

Now I am full time artist and writer, as well as gardener. When I am preparing a comp for an illustration or designing a drawing, painting a canvas, or taking photos around my neighborhood, I’m in my happy place. I have an eye for color; for a website, book illustrations, or a mural. While I use graphic programs for digital art, I prefer the look and feel of hand drawn, hand painted pieces.
